Compassionate Support for Rescue Dog Owners
Welcoming a rescue dog into your home ia an amazing experience but it can also bring unexpected challenges for both you and your dog. With almost 10 years experience of everything rescue from homechecks to transport and fostering to adopting, there isnāt much that I havenāt experienced at some point during the rescue journey and all the emotions and challenges that you may face.
I offer compassionate, professional support tailored specifically for rescue dog owners. With care, empathy, and understanding, I provide both emotional reassurance and practical advice to help you and your dog develop a happier, stronger relationship. Whether you need help with settling in, managing behaviour, or just need someone to listen without judgement, I am just a phone call away. Real support, when you need it most.
Maybe you are preparing for your new dogās arrival and want to be fully ready but you still have questions . Maybe youāve recently adopted and are finding life with your new companion more emotional, overwhelming, or challenging than you anticipated. If you are adopting through a rescue you might have questions and don’t want to bother them as they are busy, feel uncomfortable asking or feel like your question is unimportant. If it is on your mind then it matters. There are no silly or unimportant questions when it comes to allaying your fears and supporting you and your dogās emotional wellbeing.
I am here for advice, guidance, or just a listening ear providing accessible emotional support and practical help.

Behavioural Assessment £250
To ensure we provide the most appropriate and effective support, we ask that all enquiries begin by completing our contact form. If it seems that we may be able to help, Iāll invite you to a complimentary call to discuss your concerns in more detail. This helps us better understand your needs and determine whether our services are the right fit for you and your dog.
Next Steps
Before our first meeting, youāll be asked to complete a detailed online history form. This helps me gain a deeper understanding of your dogās background, behaviour, and environment. Iāll also request a recent veterinary check to help rule out any underlying medical issues that could be contributing to behavioural concerns. These steps ensure we approach your dogās needs with care, clarity, and informed perspective.
Once these initial steps are complete, we can begin the assessment process. Depending on your location and your dogās needs, assessments may take place virtually, in your home, or at our private, secure facility.
During the assessment, weāll take the time to observe your dogās behaviour and gently explore any contributing factors ā such as physical discomfort, emotional distress, or environmental influences. This process is carried out with a trauma-informed approach, ensuring your dog is met with patience, understanding, and respect at every stage.
Once Iām confident that weāve identified the underlying causes of your dogās behaviour, youāll receive a tailored support plan designed specifically for you and your dogās unique situation. This plan will provide you with the tools, guidance, and confidence to move forward with clarity and compassion.
To support you in implementing the plan, Iāll also provide written and visual resources where appropriate, ensuring you have clear, accessible guidance every step of the way.
Ongoing support is available beyond the initial assessment and support plan, should you need continued guidance. The nature and cost of this additional support will be discussed and agreed on an individual basis, ensuring it reflects your needs and circumstances.
Virtual Consultations £75
For less complex cases, I also offer one-hour virtual consultations via Zoom. This option allows us to connect from the comfort of your own home while still providing meaningful, tailored support. A completed history form will be required prior to the session to help ensure we make the most of our time together and address your concerns effectively.
Telephone Support £10
Telephone support is available for those who are at the beginning of their journey with a foster or newly adopted dog and may simply need a little extra reassurance and guidance during the early stages. This service is intended to offer compassionate, practical advice to help you navigate those first steps with confidence. For this you will need to fill in the initial contact form. The call lasts up to 30 minutes.
Please note that telephone support is not a substitute for a full behavioural consultation. If, during the course of the call, it becomes clear that more in-depth behavioural support is needed, I will recommend an alternative serviceāeither with myself or a trusted, qualified professionalāso you and your dog receive the appropriate level of care and guidance.
