“Mutts and Angels are not very far apart.”
Charles Bukowski
Mutts Angels is a professional and compassionate dog services company, proudly serving the Ogmore Valley but with the ability to serve the UK with my online behavioural support packages. I offer expert dog walking, training, and behavioural support with a focus on care and individual needs.
My private and secure training area in Nantymoel provides a safe space for exclusive sessions tailored to each dog. Itās an amazing space in a quiet part of the village where your dogs are able to chill, play or take part in scentwork and other enrichment specific to them.
Established in 2016, I have cared for a number of dogs and cats as if they were our own. I am fully insured, DBS-checked, and trained in Emergency First Aid as standard. Above all, I believe in treating both pets and their owners with compassion and understanding. My behavioural work is deeply rooted in these values, supporting dogs and their families from pre-adoption through post-adoption. With years of experience in both UK and international rescue, I specialize in helping rescue dogs adjust and thrive.
I also run Alfieās Mutts, my beautiful shop in Nantymoel, Bridgend, offering high-quality dog food, natural treats, toys, and accessories. All profits go directly to Alfieās Dog Rescue, helping to cover food and vet costs for dogs in foster care. If you canāt visit in person, many of my products are available to order online. Check out my shop page to support rescue dogs in need.

Who am I?
Iām Ingrid Lewis, the heart and soul behind Mutts Angels. For as long as I can remember, animals have been my world, not just as pets, but as companions, teachers, and, in many cases, survivors. Their bravery and resilience is remarkable and their love for us is unconditional. My aim is to help dogs feel safe, understood, and truly at home, no matter what theyāve been through.
Working with dogs isnāt just what I do, itās who I am. Dogs are my life and I know firsthand how much love and trust it takes to put your dog in someone elseās care. That is why I treat every single dog as if they were my own. Whether itās a gentle walk, specialist training, or behavioral support, I tailor everything to your dogās unique needs, sensitivities, and history. No two dogs are the same, and I believe in respecting that individuality with the patience, kindness, and understanding that deserve.
My true passion lies in working with rescue dogs and those carrying the weight of past trauma. For nearly 10 years, Iāve dedicated my life to rescuing, fostering, and rehabilitating dogs from both the UK and abroad. Iāve seen the fear in their eyes and their body language, the uncertainty in their movements. Iāve also witnessed their incredible resilience, their ability to trust again, and the pure joy of a dog finally realizing they are safe. Thatās what drives me.
I am a certified Dog Trainer and Instructor with the Dog Training College, specializing in canine body language and working with sensitive dogs. I am also a proud member of the Professional Dog Walking Association, the Pet Professional Network, and the National Institute of Canine Ethics, because ethics, integrity, and ongoing learning matter. I am currently studying Level 5 and 6 in Dog Behaviour, and I actively seek out trauma-focused courses and webinars to deepen my understanding and improve the way I help both dogs and their humans.
If youāve adopted a dog, are thinking about adoption, or just need someone who truly understands, someone who will listen without judgment and guide with care, I would love to help. Together, we can help them heal, trust, and thrive in their new world.

Dog Behaviourist – TrainPositive

“… I have been a Certified Animal Behaviourist for 15 years and have an international platform helping educate about the latest in behavioural science. As the dog training and behaviour profession is unregulated in the UK, it is really important that the public become aware of how important it is to employ someone who is experienced and works to a modern ethical standard.
Ingrid has a wealth of experience and knowledge from working within the rescue sector and within training and behaviour. Ingrid represents the very best in professional practice and her knowledge, compassion and focus on providing high levels of care and support for both dogs and their humans, mean anyone employing her can do so with confidence. …”
